Florida flooding leads to toxic mold

Daytona Beach flood victims are facing toxic mold. Record rainfall caused Kottle Lake to expand into nearby homes. Waters have receded, but not without leaving behind the serious issue of mold. The excess moisture produced a breeding ground for toxic mold, which feeds off materials in homes.  Health problems associated with mold exposure can include allergic illness, irritant effects, infection and toxic effects, according to the Florida Department of Health.
